Joseph Begun is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.

Mr. Begun represents public and private companies at both the trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts, as well as in disputes before regulatory agencies. Mr. Begun’s practice covers a range of matters, including complex commercial class actions and business-to-business litigation before state public service commissions.

He also maintains an active pro bono practice, including providing both policy-related advice and appellate-litigation support.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Begun clerked for Judge Julius Ness Richardson of the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Mr. Begun received his JD from The University of Chicago Law School, graduating with high honors and as a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he served on the University of Chicago Law Review and was named a Kirkland & Ellis Scholar.
