New York Partner Christopher Clark Named Crisis Leadership Trailblazer

New York Co-Deputy Office Managing Partner and former federal prosecutor, Christopher Clark, has been named to the National Law Journal’s annual Crisis Leadership Trailblazer list, which recognizes legal professionals who have made significant marks on the practice, policy, and technological advancements in the crisis management arena.

Clark has built a reputation as a trusted advisor to high-profile public figures and some of the largest global financial institutions and alternative capital providers, advising them through times of crisis on their most important matters. As highlighted in his published profile, Clark previously represented Mark Cuban in a three-week federal jury trial that resulted in a first-of-its-kind decision dismissing a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) complaint against Cuban in its entirety. The profile also mentioned Clark’s representation of another high-profile client, the founder & CEO of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk, in a SEC investigation and resolution of selective disclosure allegations.

Clark previously served as Global Co-Chair of Latham’s Financial Institutions Industry Group and as Global Co-Chair of the Securities Litigation Practice. He was also an Assistant US Attorney in the Southern District of New York and a member of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force. During his tenure there, he conducted nine federal criminal trials as lead counsel (including the conviction of the men who looted Adelphia Communications Corp.) and argued more than 20 appeals in the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
