Chambers Associate Guide Highlights Firm’s Training, Pro Bono and Diversity Programs
Latham & Watkins has been recognized by Chambers as a Leading Firm in the 2017 Chambers Associate Survey. Chambers Associate, the annual students' guide to US law firms, highlights Latham's training, pro bono program and diversity initiatives in its profile of the firm.
The guide calls Latham “a legal kingpin that will appeal to high-fliers" and notes that the firm “has built its name as a world leader in corporate transactions, environmental law, finance matters, litigation and tax services."
Latham's profile is based in part on interviews with associates at the firm. Among the areas highlighted, the guide singles out the flexibility and breadth of the firm's training program and professional development initiatives. The guide also highlights Latham's pro bono program, especially the firm's commitment that “pro bono hours all count toward the billable target," and the firm's focus on supporting diversity, through affinity groups, diversity scholarships and internships and an “impressive" number of initiatives like the Diversity Leadership Academy, the Women's Leadership Academy and the associate-led Multicultural Promotion & Attainment Coalition (MPAC).
