Latham partners Nancy Bruington, Ken Deutsch, and Rick Offsay have been named 2022 Power Lawyers in the entertainment industry publication’s annual review of attorneys advising on high-profile matters.
Bruington was honored as “a go-to adviser for clients eyeing complex deals,” such as advising Endeavor on financing matters relating to the US$775 million sale of a controlling stake in studio unit Endeavor Content to South Korea’s CJ ENM.
Deutsch, Co-Chair of Latham’s Entertainment, Sports & Media Practice, was cited for a range of deal work, such as advising the private equity investors when Rob Reiner’s Castle Rock Entertainment relaunched its film division with a US$175 million equity raise. THR noted that “investors and financiers of all shapes and sizes, including high-net-worth individuals, have Deutsch on speed dial.”
Offsay was recognized for an impressive deal roster, including being “among MGM’s key advisers in its buzzy $8.45 billion sale to Amazon.”
Deutsch has been named a THR Power Lawyer multiple times, and Offsay is a repeat honoree from last year.
