Latham Named Best Firm for Islamic Finance

Latham & Watkins has been named “Best Overall Law Firm in Islamic Finance” at the Islamic Finance news Law Awards 2016. The firm was credited with ‘tackling some of the most complex problems for clients with creativity’ and demonstrating exceptionally strong performance across multiple practice areas.

Latham was also named “Best Law Firm for Structured Finance” for advising a privately-held Middle Eastern investment vehicle in relation to a number of Shariah compliant margin financings and repo-like transactions, and “Best Law Firm for Mergers & Acquisitions" for advising EQUATE Petrochemical Company (K.S.C.C) on its US$3.2 billion acquisition of MEGlobal International FZE.
