Kristen Grannis is a partner and Co-Chair of Latham and Watkins’ Corporate Department in the Boston office. Ms. Grannis advises private equity, growth equity, and venture firms, as well as their portfolio companies, navigating complex transactions. She regularly works with clients in the technology, retail, healthcare, life sciences, industrial, and manufacturing industries.

Ms. Grannis also guides strategic buyers and sellers as well as founder-owned businesses and their acquirers in a variety of corporate matters. She is skilled at representing clients in merger and acquisition and investment transactions, including:

  • Structured preferred equity investments
  • Growth equity and venture capital financings
  • Leveraged buyouts
  • Exits

In addition to her practice, Ms. Grannis dedicates her time to pro bono efforts and serves as outside counsel to Year Up, a nonprofit that provides professional training to low-income young adults. She is also an active member of the Women’s Bar Association (WBA) in Massachusetts, serving as Co-Chair of their Law Firm Advancement Committee, and the Boston Bar Association (BBA), serving as a member of their Business Transactions Committee.
