Mr. Whitworth currently represents or has recently represented several global companies and their directors and officers in federal securities class actions and derivative suits. These companies span numerous industries, including semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, and real estate. Mr. Whitworth also represents Big Four accounting firms in civil litigation and government investigations.
Mr. Whitworth recently represented Southern California Edison Company in a multi-billion dollar ICC arbitration against the supplier of defective capital equipment for a nuclear power plant. During the course of this matter, Mr. Whitworth obtained significant trial and deposition experience and insight into complex legal and policy issues affecting the nuclear power industry and regulated utilities.
Mr. Whitworth also has experience representing technology companies in consumer class actions, appeals, and internal investigations.
Mr. Whitworth maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in federal civil rights litigation, immigration matters, and proceedings before the Department of Veterans Affairs.
