Adam Raichilson is an associate in the Century City office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Entertainment, Sports & Media Practice.

Mr. Raichilson represents studios, production companies, and other entertainment, media, and technology clients in a variety of transactions that involve the acquisition, financing, exploitation, and licensing of intellectual property and media-related assets. Mr. Raichilson’s experience includes advising on media-specific mergers and acquisitions and strategic joint venture agreements, as well as negotiating personal services agreements and intellectual property licensing agreements in the entertainment, media, and advertising industries.

Mr. Raichilson also has an active pro bono practice, focusing on entertainment and immigration related matters.

Mr. Raichilson received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, where he was an editor for the Southern California Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Raichilson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Television from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, and founded Revive Media, a media production company.


Mr. Raichilson's recent experience includes: 

  • Univision Communications Inc. in its acquisition of Gawker Media Group for US$135 million, and for a variety of strategic content-acquisition and licensing transactions
  • Blue Man Group in an acquisition by Cirque du Soleil
  • Netflix in its acquisition of Millarworld (a UK-based comic book publisher)
  • Anonymous Content (a talent management and production company) in the sale of a significant interest to Emerson Collective
  • Blumhouse in a strategic joint venture with ITV (a UK-based television network) for the development and production of original television content
  • Lyft in connection with development and licensing transactions in the entertainment industry
  • Sundance Institute in a variety of matters, including strategic partnership agreements and counsel related to the Sundance Film Festival
  • Hersh Interactive Group in the investment in EnVyUs (an E-Sports team)
  • beIN Media in its acquisition of Miramax, an independent film motion picture distribution and production company
  • Warner Brothers in its acquisition of DramaFever, a streaming-video subscription service specializing in Korean television programming
  • A top tier commercial bank as the administrative agent in connection with a senior secured revolving credit facility for a major studio co-financing partner
  • Various independent production companies in the drafting and negotiating of agreements related to the finance and production of motion pictures and television programming
