Latham & Watkins is proud to celebrate the
10-year anniversary of Women Enriching Business (WEB), a firm committee designed to address the business challenges and opportunities unique to women lawyers and current and prospective women clients.


WEB’s mission is to promote women in business both outside and inside the firm through global and local efforts designed to create broader networks and productive business relationships, to attract top talent and to support the long-term success of women.

WEB's clear-cut objectives include:

  • Providing opportunities for women to grow and develop as leaders
  • Providing networking opportunities
  • Promoting women role models
  • Offering business development training and coaching
  • Fostering and develop mentoring relationships
  • Creating a culture of diversity and inclusion at the firm and in the legal profession at large

Events

Latham's offices around the world regularly host thought-provoking substantive and social WEB events so women can connect to enhance and expand their professional networks. Since January 2015, WEB has held more than 70 events across the globe, providing business development and networking opportunities. WEB also hosts internal programs focused on mentoring, education and increasing the visibility of women role models throughout the firm.

Past Event Highlights

Over the past year, Latham hosted a series of events in the United States and Europe focused on women in corporate boardrooms. Women directors from esteemed public, private and non-profit boards shared their insider perspectives on topics such as the advancement of women onto boards, board preparedness and the impact of diverse voices in the boardroom. Latham also recently hosted events in San Francisco and Houston featuring Kathy Ruemmler, former White House counsel and now global Co-chair of Latham's White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice.
