Jakob Baldes is an associate in the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins’ Düsseldorf office.

He advises financial and strategic investors on domestic and cross-border private equity and M&A transactions, as well as on co-investments and management participations.

Prior to joining Latham as an associate, Jakob worked as a law clerk in Latham’s Corporate Department in Düsseldorf and gained experience working as an academic assistant in the Bonn office of a major German law firm. He also worked for the Federal Audit Office (Bundesrechnungshof).

  • Digital Transformation Capital Partners (DTCP) on the acquisition of majority shareholding in maincubes
  • FH Capital on the acquisition of a majority stake in Jinko Solar (U.S.) Industries Inc., a US subsidiary of JinkoSolar
  • Fresenius on the:
    • Sale of the majority of Vamed’s rehabilitation business to PAI Partners
    • Integration of Vamed’s hospital services business under the new name Fresenius Health Services (FHS)
