Tracy Edmonson

Tracy Edmonson retired from the partnership in June 2022. She was the former Local Chair of Latham's Corporate Department in Asia and advised clients on corporate finance and strategic counseling.

Ms. Edmonson served numerous companies, including foreign private issuers, on a variety of general corporate issues, including US securities law compliance, financings, and corporate governance. She also has experience in high-yield debt offerings, debt tender offers and consent solicitations, equity-linked securities, and complex restructurings.

Ms. Edmonson’s clients included public and private companies of all sizes across the globe, from Fortune 500 companies to emerging growth companies.

She advised Owens-Illinois, the world’s leading glass bottle manufacturer, for over 25 years. She represented InterXion, a leading European provider of carrier-and cloud-neutral colocation data centre services for over nine years, including on its sale to Digital Realty in 2020.

She regularly advised issuers and underwriters on international bond issuances, particularly in Asia, including medium-term note programs, Rule 144A and Regulation S high yield and investment grade bond offerings, and liability management transactions.

In addition to her substantive experience with corporate finance transactions, Ms. Edmonson has significant experience advising clients across multiple industries, including TMT, cloud computing technology, transportation, life sciences, oil and gas, healthcare, and consumer products, including food and beverage.

At the time of her retirement, Ms. Edmonson was a sought-after commentator on industry and legal trends and a frequent public speaker. She has been a guest lecturer at the London School of Economics, UCLA, and at the Berkeley Center for Law, Business and the Economy. At the time of her retirement, she was an active member of the Capital Markets Diversity Working Group at the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (asifma).
