Tom Alabaster is a corporate partner and a member of the firm’s Investment Funds Practice. Mr. Alabaster represents investment fund sponsors, investors and other market participants in Europe and internationally, maintaining a particular focus on US institutions operating in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Mr. Alabaster’s practice focuses on fund formation, investment firm structuring, joint ventures, sponsor equity, carry and governance issues and the related on-going regulatory and compliance issues.

Before Latham, Mr. Alabaster served as a senior funds counsel at The Carlyle Group and as Carlyle’s Chief Compliance Officer for Europe and Africa. Prior to Carlyle, he practiced investment management law at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York.
