Steven Levine is a partner in the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins. He has broad experience throughout the department's substantive areas of expertise, including real estate development, purchase and sale, financing, workout, and leasing transactions. In recent years, Mr. Levine's real estate practice has focused in particular on the development and sale of properties within planned multi-use communities, the development, construction, and financing of laboratory projects, office projects, and large infrastructure projects, including hotels, casinos, sporting facilities, power projects, and water projects on office, industrial, and laboratory leasing.

Mr. Levine also has an active project finance practice, including the representation of lenders, underwriters, developers, and acquirers of power projects located throughout the United States. These experiences have enabled him to develop an expertise in, among other areas, the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts, construction finance documentation, purchase and sale documentation, and commercial leases.

Mr. Levine has been recognized as one of the Top Real Estate Lawyers in California by the Daily Journal 2013 and a Top Attorney for his work in Real Estate & Construction (Transactional) practice by the San Diego Daily Transcript 2012.
