Seniz Yakut is counsel in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Finance Department.

Ms. Yakut has experience in a wide range of secured and unsecured leveraged finance transactions, high yield debt issuances, refinancings and restructurings, and bridge and mezzanine financings involving acquisition finance.

She has handled asset-based financings, first-lien, second-lien, mezzanine, and subordinated financings, cross-border financings, and investment grade financings, which have ranged in size from several millions of dollars to billions of dollars. 

Ms. Yakut’s experience includes advising:

  • Leonard Green & Partners in the financing for its investment in WIRB-Copernicus Group and other companies
  • Leonard Green & Partners and a leading investment firm in the financing for their investments in Aspen Dental
  • Other leading sponsors with private equity assets under management of several billion dollars for a wide range of portfolio companies in a broad spectrum of industries
  • GCM Grosvenor (NASDAQ: GCMG) in its US$2 billion merger with CF Finance Acquisition Corp.
  • DXC Technology in:
    • The US$5 billion sale of its US State and Local Health and Human Services Business to Veritas Capital
    • The US$525 million sale of its Global Healthcare Information Systems Software Business to the Dedalus Group
