Roopika Subramanian is an associate in the Environment, Land, & Resources Department of Latham & Watkins’ Los Angeles office.
Ms. Subramanian’s practice encompasses a broad range of regulatory, litigation, and transactional matters arising under real estate, land use, and environmental law. She advises clients in obtaining, defending, and managing local government approvals for complex developments in California, which involve a range of legal, political, and community relations issues. Ms. Subramanian also represents clients in evaluating potential environmental liabilities associated with mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
During law school, Ms. Subramanian clerked for the General Counsel’s office of Bay Area Rapid Transit and the Community Economic Justice Clinic of the East Bay Community Law Center, a transaction-focused legal clinic.
Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Subramanian served as a policy associate for a government relations firm in Sacramento.
