Lisa Stevens is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins. She is a member of the Finance Department with a decade’s experience of working on complex, cross-border finance transactions.

Ms. Stevens’ is an English law qualified lawyer who specializes in restructurings, special situations lending, and leveraged finance transactions. 

 

Ms. Stevens’ representative transactions include advising:

  • A diverse syndicate of lenders to a high street retailer with operations across Europe in connection with covenant reset and waiver negotiations
  • A company operating in the food production sector in connection with special situations financing and a distressed M&A transaction
  • A committee of senior lenders in relation to the restructuring of Prezzo
  • A global alternative investment fund in connection with a special situations financing in Italy (required a bond wrapper due to Italian banking licensing rules)
  • Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in connection with the issuance of €794.96 million hybrid notes of a holding company of the LeasePlan operating group
  • TA Associates in its financing in relation to its shareholding in Inspired
  • EQT in connection with a range of infrastructure and leveraged financings (typically club deals)
  • Lenders to various Liberty owned companies including UPC and Virgin Media (high yield notes issued by an SPV with the note proceeds being on-lent as an additional facility under the relevant group’s syndicated facility)
  • A consortium of 24 banks in connection with the financing of the voluntary tender offer launched by the Italian toll-road company Atlantia to acquire 100% of the share capital of the Spanish toll-road company Abertis, for a total consideration of €16.3 billion
  • Blue Bay in connection with a second lien loan to fund Warburg Pincus’ acquisition of Acceleya
  • A club of lenders in connection with the approximately £300 million senior secured term and revolving loan financing to the Study Group and the recent sale of the group
  • The SSRCF lenders on the most recent Matalan refinancing
  • The mandated lead arrangers on the €790 million Keter acquisition financing
  • The mandated lead arrangers on the €7 billion Pirelli financing transaction (Deal of the Year – Italy, Global Capital Loans Awards 2015)
  • The SSRCF banks on the €640 million maiden Interoute high yield notes financing
