Justin Thekkekara is a corporate associate in the Houston office of Latham & Watkins.

Mr. Thekkekara represents private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, and other public and private companies in a variety of complex transactional matters, including private equity investments, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and leveraged buyouts, with substantial experience in energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, and utilities. Mr. Thekkekara also advises clients on general strategic, governance, compliance, and corporate matters. 

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Thekkekara was an associate in the Houston office of an international leading law firm, focusing on private equity and mergers and acquisitions. 

Mr. Thekkekara received his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, and received both his BS in Business Administration and his BA in Philosophy from Boston University.

  • A major infrastructure fund in its US$1.375 billion acquisition of an integrated US renewable energy platform*
  • A consortium of investors led by a major private equity fund in its acquisition of a public company*
  • A private oil and gas container solutions company in its 50-50 joint venture with a major competitor*
  • A major infrastructure fund in its US$950 million take-private acquisition of a fiber-based data and broadband service provider*
