Gil Halpern is an associate in Latham & Watkins’ Silicon Valley office and a member of the Technology Transactions Practice.
Ms. Halpern's practice focuses on commercial and intellectual property transactions for emerging and public companies and their customers, particularly in the fields of software, internet services, semiconductors, manufacturing, and retail and commercial products.
Ms. Halpern regularly advises on a wide variety of transactions, including:
- Strategic alliances and joint ventures
- M&A transactions
- Technology and intellectual property transfers and licensing
- Technology development
- Manufacturing, supply, and distribution arrangements
- Marketing and advertising agreements
- Service provision agreements
Ms. Halpern received her JD, magna cum laude, from New York University School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, she served as a student advocate for the Domestic Violence Advocacy Project. Ms. Halpern received her undergraduate degrees, summa cum laude, in Business Economics and English, with a minor in Accounting, from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Halpern was a law clerk at the Santa Clara County Office of the District Attorney.
