Federica Rizzo is an associate in the Milan office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Environment, Land & Resources Practice. Ms. Rizzo has particular expertise in EU regulation in the chemicals and life sciences sectors, including climate change, health and safety, and waste management issues, as well as regulatory litigation.
She represents clients on a broad range of EU regulation matters, including chemicals (REACH), pesticides, biocides, and life sciences industry sectors, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, electrical and electronic equipment, food, GMOs, and waste.
Ms. Rizzo also assists clients on contentious and non-contentious matters in the administrative and public law fields. She has considerable experience advising companies on a wide range of compliance issues and on advocacy activities, liaising with EU institutions, agencies, and national regulatory bodies.
Prior to joining Latham in 2020, Ms. Rizzo was an associate in the EU regulatory team at an international firm in Brussels. Previously, she held a legal position in a European trade association in the environmental sector and worked at the European Commission (DG GROWTH) in Brussels.
