Clara Martone-Boyce plays a key role in the Office of the General Counsel, directing the firm’s core business services teams that interpret rules of ethics and professional conduct, respond to regulatory regime requirements across regions, oversee the opening of new clients and matters, and create practical and innovative solutions and processes to ensure the firm maintains the highest standards of ethics and compliance. In addition to providing strategic and operational leadership for her teams, Ms. Martone-Boyce advises firm lawyers, management, and staff on professional ethics concerns, regulatory compliance, and ethical and business conflicts of interest.

Under her leadership, her teams have increased considerably in size, scope, and the sophistication of their analysis, in parallel with the firm’s growth and the increasing complexity of the law firm regulatory landscape.

Prior to joining the Office of the General Counsel, Ms. Martone-Boyce was a litigation associate in Latham’s Washington, D.C. office, focused on product liability and healthcare matters, and served on the firm’s Recruiting Committee. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Martone-Boyce clerked for Judge Mary A. McLaughlin of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
