Christian Roberts is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department.

Mr. Roberts advises clients on a range of corporate matters including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, group reorganizations, joint ventures, and general corporate advisory work. Previously, Mr. Roberts completed his training contract at a Magic Circle law firm.

Mr. Roberts’ experience includes advising:

  • AllianceBernstein (NYSE: AB), a leading global investment management and research firm, on the formation of its joint venture to create a leading global cash equities and research business with Société Générale (EURONEXT: SCGLY) 
  • The Public Investment Fund (PIF), one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world, in connection with its proposed strategic investment in the £653 million capital raise by way of firm placing and rights issue by Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings plc (AML: LSE)
  • Shift4 Payments, Inc. (NYSE: FOUR), a leading global payments company on the US$575m merger of Shift4 payments, LLC with Credorax Inc. d/b/a Finaro, an Israeli-based global online merchant acquiring bank and payment service provider
  • Brookfield Asset Management on the acquisition of Spanish natural slate producer Cupa from The Carlyle Group, one of the largest global producers and distributors of natural slate and stone products

  • Trussle Lab Limited, a UK-based online mortgage broker, in its £13.6 million Series B fundraising round led by Goldman Sachs Principal Strategic Investments and Propel Venture Partners (recognized by The Lawyer as the leading Growth Capital Fintech deal in 2018)*
  • AEA Investors LP on its acquisition of a majority stake in Process Sensing Technologies Ltd, a leading provider of precision measurement and monitoring instruments*
