Christopher Ohlgart is a tax associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins.

Mr. Ohlgart advises clients on a range of US federal income tax matters, particularly on structuring domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, tax-free reorganizations, joint ventures, restructurings, and financing transactions.

Mr. Ohlgart also advises on equity and debt offerings, as well as the formation and operation of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.

Mr. Ohlgart’s experience includes representing:

  • Publicly traded and privately held corporations, LLCs, and partnerships in buy-side and sell-side domestic and cross-border/international asset and equity acquisitions
  • Publicly traded and privately held corporations in taxable and tax-free mergers
  • Private equity funds in connection with structuring and operational issues and acquisitions and dispositions
  • Publicly traded corporations in equity and debt offerings
