Ben Coleman is an associate in Latham & Watkins' London office. His practice focuses on UK and cross-border public and private mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, joint ventures, and general corporate matters. Prior to joining Latham in 2018, Mr. Coleman was an associate in the corporate department of a major transatlantic law firm.

Mr. Coleman previously worked in-house on secondment to a listed UK bank’s corporate legal team, advising on various corporate and commercial matters.

  • The bookrunners and financial advisers on an £80 million placing of shares in a UK listed brewer in connection with the acquisition of a competitor’s business*
  • A US listed global data centre company on its joint venture agreement with a national telecommunications carrier*
  • A US investment bank on its disposal of a portfolio of listed and unlisted legacy debt and equity interests*
  • The bookrunnner and financial adviser on the £530 million initial public offering of a UK based trucking business*
  • A US listed e-commerce company on the reorganization of its European group structure*
  • A US listed biotech company on the UK aspects of the US$280 million disposal of its medical imaging business*
  • A global management consultant on several acquisitions of multidisciplinary consultancies*
  • A UK listed asset manager on its acquisition of a property portfolio in connection with a £100 million scheme*
  • A French listed multinational insurer on the disposal of a UK based broking subsidiary*
