Andrea Hogan is a partner in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins, and is the local Chair of the firm’s Environment, Land & Resources Department. Ms. Hogan's practice focuses on environmental litigation and regulatory matters.
Ms. Hogan represents clients in a range of environmental litigation matters in state and federal court, including under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Clean Air Act (CAA) the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and in toxic tort litigation. Ms. Hogan has developed expertise in numerous areas of environmental compliance, enforcement and regulation, and regularly counsels clients on compliance with environmental laws and permitting requirements. Ms. Hogan’s practice has a focus on litigation and regulatory matters involving contaminated sites. Ms. Hogan also has experience counseling clients on tribal and cultural resource issues, including under the National Historic Preservation Act.
Between college and law school, Ms. Hogan worked as an investment banking analyst at Merrill Lynch in its Mergers and Acquisitions practice, focusing on companies in the technology sector. While in law school, she served as a legal extern to the Honorable Ricardo M. Urbina in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
