Rita Motta is a counsel in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Global Antitrust & Competition Practice. Ms. Motta has vast experience representing clients in complex multijurisdictional cartel investigations and global merger filings. She has also assisted clients in abuse of dominance investigations and state aid cases.

Ms. Motta’s practice also focuses on data privacy laws and global compliance investigations and training. She advises clients on GDPR and other EU and international data protection rules, data privacy compliance in the context of multijurisdictional investigations, e-commerce, online marketing, and cross-border data transfers.

Ms. Motta has particular experience advising clients in relation to matters involving Brazil and other Latin American countries.

Her practice covers a range of business sectors, including automotive, energy, internet and digital media, information technology, telecommunications, and financial institutions.
