Javier Martí-Fluxá is a corporate associate in the Madrid office of Latham & Watkins. His practice focuses on general corporate representation, public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint-ventures, and private equity transactions in a number of different industries. Mr. Martí-Fluxá regularly advises listed companies in general corporate governance matters.

  • The Carlyle Group in the takeover bid (oferta publica de adquisición) over Bodegas Bilbainas, S.A.
  • Platinum Equity in the acquisition of the Spanish company Grupo Ibérica de Congelados, S.A.
  • Hyatt Hotels Corporation in the takeover bid (oferta publica de adquisición) over NH Hotel Group, S.A.
  • KKR in the takeover bid (oferta publica de adquisición) over Telepizza Group, S.A.
  • Enagás in the acquisition of a minority stake in Peruvian company Transportadora de Gas del Perú from Graña y Montero
  • The Carlyle Group in several accelerated book-building offerings of Spanish listed Applus Services, S.A.
  • Houlihan Lokey In the acquisition of the investment banking subsidiaries of Leonardo & Co. NV, in Germany, the Netherlands and Spain
  • Apical Group, a leading palm oil exporter based in Indonesia, in the acquisition of a majority stake of the share capital of Spanish company Bio-Oils Energy
  • Globe Specialty Metals in its US$3.1 billion combination with Grupo FerroAtlántica
  • The Carlyle Group and Applus Services, S.A. in the IPO of Applus Services, S.A. for €1.2 billion
  • Cobega, Norbega, Begano, and Grupo Daurella, main shareholder of the resulting company, on the integration of the seven Coca-Cola bottlers in Spain, Andorra, and Portugal
  • Stirling Square Capital Partners in the cross-border acquisition of Cartonplast Group
  • InterXion Holding N.V. on the six percent Senior Secured Notes due 2020 for €325 million
  • The lenders in the repricing of an existing term loan for MTL Publishing, LLC and EMI Music Publishing Group North America Holdings, Inc., providers of music recording and publishing services for US$1.14 billion
  • Meridia Capital Partners in the sale of the Four Seasons “Ciudad de México” Hotel, located in Mexico City
