Courtney Thomson is an associate in the Century City office of Latham & Watkins.

Ms. Thomson primarily advises clients on executive compensation and employee benefits matters. Her experience includes counseling clients on the executive compensation and employee benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, carve-outs, and other corporate transactions. She assists private and public companies with negotiating and implementing executive employment, separation, and retention arrangements. Ms. Thomson also helps clients design and implement employment, severance, and change in control agreements, as well as equity and other incentive compensation plans and arrangements.

Ms. Thomson also prepares executive compensation disclosure for securities filings and advises on compliance with applicable laws, including the Affordable Care Act and ERISA. Ms. Thomson earned her JD from Duke University School of Law and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.
