Unconditional EU Antitrust Clearance Leads to Closing of Siemens’ US$7.8 Billion Acquisition of Dresser-Rand

Noting the press release issued by Siemens AG as posted here, Latham & Watkins LLP advised Siemens in its acquisition of Dresser-Rand with a cross-border deal team. The antitrust and competition aspects were led from the firm’s Brussels office by partners Michael Egge, Lars Kjølbye, Sven Völcker and Héctor Armengod (Mr. Egge is based both in Brussels and Washington, D.C.), and the deal team was led by mergers and acquisitions partners in Munich and New York.
