Talented Project Finance Leader Rejoins Latham

David Penna brings significant experience to the firm’s leading project finance and Latin America practices.

Latham & Watkins LLP1 is pleased to announce that David Penna has rejoined the firm’s Washington, D.C. and New York offices as a partner in the Finance Department and member of the Project Development & Finance and Latin America Practice Groups. He represents sponsors, lenders, developers, multinational corporations, and government entities on all phases of project development and financing in the US and globally, with a particular focus on energy, power, and infrastructure assets.

Penna most recently served as Senior Vice President in the Office of Strategic Initiatives at the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). In this role, Penna provided strategic policy advice related to US national security and international development matters. He also led the development and implementation of new policies and initiatives for the organization.

Penna received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Bloomington in 1997 and received his law degree from Yale Law School in 2001.
