Kelly Cataldo has been selected for Bloomberg Law’s “They’ve Got Next: Energy” series for “raising the bar” in her practice.

Project Development & Finance partner Kelly Cataldo has been selected for Bloomberg Law’s “They’ve Got Next: Energy” series, featuring five rising energy lawyers who are “raising the bar” in their practices. The publication noted that the honorees have demonstrated their skill at “steering corporations forward in an industry always on the cusp of innovation.”

Based in New York, Cataldo advises clients through all phases of construction, financing, and investment in renewable energy, oil and gas, and other infrastructure projects located in the United States and Latin America. In her profile article, Bloomberg Law highlighted Cataldo’s recent work advising the lenders in the financing for the US$2.3 billion 800 MW Vineyard Wind Project, “the first major offshore wind project underway in the US” and “one of the biggest renewable energy project investments in the United States to date.” The Vineyard Wind Project is projected to generate electricity for more than 400,000 homes and businesses in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and to reduce carbon emissions by more than 1.6 million tons every year, beginning in 2023.

Global Project Development & Finance Practice Chair Jeff Greenberg, who has worked with Cataldo for nearly a decade, praised her ability to successfully navigate high-level renewable energy transactions. Greenberg told Bloomberg Law, “She sits at the pinnacle of who you want working for a complex renewable energy project.” He added that Cataldo has the right legal skills, people skills, and experience to succeed, saying, “When you get all three at her age, it’s a pretty special combination. She is way ahead of the curve.”
