Latham Excels in 2017 AmLaw Corporate Scorecard

M&A and Capital Markets practices earn top rankings across transactional categories.

Latham & Watkins received 17 top-10 rankings, the most of any law firm, in The American Lawyer’s 2017 Corporate Scorecard, an annual compilation of league table data for M&A, capital markets and other transactional activity during the previous year. The firm’s results reflect its diverse deal making capabilities and market-leading reputation. Twelve of the firm’s placements were in the top two positions, including:

  • US Initial Public Offerings (“IPOs”) – #1 as Issuer’s Counsel by deal volume
  • Equities – #1 as Issuer’s Counsel by deal volume 
  • Equities – #1 as Underwriters’ Counsel by deal volume 
  • Equities – #2 as Issuer’s Counsel by deal value 
  • Equities – #2 as Underwriters’ Counsel by deal value 
  • M&A – #2 as Principal’s Counsel by deal volume 
  • Buyouts – #2 as Principal’s Counsel by deal value and by deal volume 
  • Corporate Debt – #2 as Issuer’s Counsel by deal volume 
  • Corporate Debt – #2 as Underwriters’ Counsel by deal value and by deal volume 
  • Corporate Finance – #2 by deal value
