Latham & Watkins Advises Chimera Capital on the Close of its US$75 Million Venture Capital Fund

Transaction represents Chimera’s first venture capital fund close.

Latham & Watkins has advised Chimera Capital Ltd (Chimera), an ADGM regulated fund manager and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chimera Investment LLC, the Abu Dhabi-based private investment firm managing a diversified portfolio of listed and private equities around the world, on the close of its first venture capital fund. 

Chimera Global Fund I LP (the fund) increased its cap from US$50 million and reached its new cap of US$75 million. The fund is backed by a number of regional and global Limited Partners including Mubadala Investment Company. 

The Latham team was led by Dubai counsel Eyad Latif and London funds partner James McCrory with Dubai associates Omar Maayeh and Connie Leung and London associate Joshua Oyedele.
