Experienced Structured Finance Partner to Join Latham & Watkins in London

Arrival of Alex Martin adds further depth to the firm’s leading European practice.

Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that Alex Martin will join the firm’s London office as a partner in the Structured Finance Practice. His practice focuses on advising investment funds, financial institutions, and asset managers on a variety of complex structured finance transactions and structured products, with particular focus on collateralized loan obligation transactions (CLOs) and performing and non-performing debt portfolio acquisitions.

“Alex is an outstanding lawyer who is widely regarded for his work on cutting-edge domestic and cross-border transactions,” said Stephen Kensell, Office Managing Partner of Latham & Watkins in London. “His arrival adds further depth to our preeminent London and European practice, and we are delighted to welcome him to the firm.”

Martin regularly advises on complex financings across a variety of asset classes, with a particular focus on structuring bespoke solutions for the leading private capital providers and asset managers in the market.

Martin joins the firm from Weil Gotshal. He received an LLB from Manchester University, before completing his postgraduate diploma at the College of Law in London.
