Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce its 2018 1L Fellows.
Our 1L Fellows will spend the first half of the summer in one of our US offices and the second half in-house in the legal department of one of our clients. Each fellow will also be paired with a mentor at the firm. Upon the successful completion of the program, the students will receive an offer to join the firm as a summer associate the following year. They are also eligible to participate in the 2L Diversity Scholars program.
The 2018 Latham & Watkins 1L Fellows are:
- Carolina Souva Berger, University of Chicago Law School
- Ahra Cho, Harvard Law School
- Temi Dele-Dare, Yale Law School
- Lana El-Farra, UC Berkeley School of Law
- Nigel Frank, Fordham University School of Law
- Melange Gavin, University of San Diego School of Law
- Kellye Quirk, University of Virginia School of Law
- Sanjana Parikh, UC Berkeley School of Law
- Trevor Yedoni, Loyola Law School

Factors considered in selecting Latham’s 1L Fellows included academic and leadership achievements, challenges encountered in advancing career objectives, life experiences that have shaped values and professional goals, and a demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity in the legal profession. The firm received approximately 1,600 applications from students at more than 100 US law schools.
“As a firm, we are committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce, so we are especially proud to welcome this talented group of students to our firm for a unique summer employment opportunity,” said Larry Seymour, Chair of the Recruiting Committee at Latham. “We congratulate the scholars on their many achievements thus far, and believe each one has a very promising career ahead.”
