Sarah Lohschelder is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Ms. Lohschelder represents investment and commercial banks, borrowers, and private equity firms, in a range of finance transactions, including leveraged financings, acquisition financings, asset-based financings, debt restructurings, and cross-border transactions.

Ms. Lohschelder currently serves on the firm's Pro Bono Committee, and maintains an active pro bono practice, representing VAWA petitioners in federal immigration matters and Holocaust survivors seeking reparations from the German government.

Prior to re-joining the New York office, Ms. Lohschelder was based in the Singapore office.

Ms. Lohschelder's experience includes advising:

  • Credit Suisse in its approximately US$1.4 billion term loan and US$540 million senior secured bond offering for MacAndrews and Forbes’ portfolio company Vericast, to refinance existing debt 
  • Ares Management in its US$327 million acquisition financing for HealthEdge Software, Inc., a software company focused on providing next-generation core administration and care coordination for transformative health plans in connection with its acquisition of Wellframe, Inc.
  • Golub Capital in its term loan and revolving credit facility in connection with L Catterton's acquisition of Kodiak Cakes, LLC
  • The initial purchaser in the US$250 million senior secured notes offering and the lead arranger of the US$25 million revolving facility of Turning Point Brands, an alternative smoking accessories and consumables manufacture, marketer, and distributor
  • Barclays Bank PLC in the US$1.1 billion asset-based lending facility, concurrent with a US$2.9 billion bond offering, in connection with WESCO Distribution’s acquisition of Anixter International
  • Ares Capital in a unitranche financing in connection with the acquisition of Teasdale Foods, Inc.
  • Credit Suisse in a US$618 million refinancing of the The Schumacher Group of Delaware, Inc. facility
