Ryan Banks is an associate in the Bay Area offices of Latham & Watkins, and a member of the firm's Litigation & Trial Department.

Mr. Banks practices intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent litigation matters.  He represents companies in the telecommunications, medical devices, semiconductor, and technology industries. 

Mr. Banks has experience in all aspects of federal and state civil litigation, including drafting dispositive motions, taking and defending key depositions, managing complex large-scale discovery, and preparing cases for trial or negotiating favorable settlements to avoid trial.

Mr. Banks also maintains an active pro bono practice, including litigating voters’ rights before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
