Róisín Mbonu is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department.

Ms. Mbonu advises on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, and general corporate matters.

Ms. Mbonu previously trained in the firm’s London office gaining experience in benefits and compensation, corporate, and data and technology transactions matters.

Ms. Mbonu also spent time on secondment to Thomas Cook Group plc, and in-house at a leading European venture capital fund. 

Ms. Mbonu’s experience includes advising:

  • Thomas Cook Group in connection with the proposed sale of its airline and ultimately its attempted recapitalization
  • Sale by Apotex of certain global rights and assets of Peg-Filgrastim and Filgrastim, two pharmaceutical products, to Accord Healthcare and Intas Pharmaceuticals
  • CVC Capital Partners on the sale of a 30% stake in Domestic & General Group, a UK-based provider of warranty and product protection services, to Abu Dhabi Investment Authority
  • Hyundai on its investment into AppyParking, a company providing parking apps and services for drivers
  • Nordic Capital on the US$846 million acquisition of ADVANZ PHARMA, a specialty pharmaceutical company
  • Rayner and Phoenix Equity Partners on the sale of a majority interest to CVC Capital Partners
  • The senior secured creditors committee in relation to the potential c. £740 million debt restructuring of Pizza Express, the UK and international casual dining group
  • KSL Capital Partners on the acquisition of a majority stake in Third Space, the UK luxury health and fitness brand, alongside existing sponsor Encore Capital
  • &Open on its seed financing led by First Round Capital and LocalGlobe 
  • ComplyAdvantage on its extended Series C financing by Goldman Sachs
