Miki Someya is an associate in the Litigation & Trial Department of Latham & Watkins Gaikokuho Joint Enterprise. She assists in the representation of Japanese and multinational companies and individuals involved in government investigations, internal investigations, and cross-border litigation and disputes. She also assists clients with the review of their compliance programs and conducts anti-corruption due diligence review in connection with their corporate transactions.

Ms. Someya received her JD from Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she served as an editor for the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution and was recognized as a Public Service Fellow. 

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Someya worked in the Tokyo office of another leading international law firm and at a multinational technology and e commerce company on secondment. She is a native Japanese speaker and fluent in English.
