Marc Werner represents leading global companies in complex commercial disputes and securities class actions in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration. Mr. Werner has worked on high-stakes matters for large public and private companies, professional services firms, and financial institutions.

Mr. Werner draws on substantial experience in all aspects of litigation and can point to an impressive track record of dismissals on behalf of clients in a wide range of industries. 

While attending Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Werner was published in the Georgetown Law Journal, the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics and the Fordham Journal of International Law, and worked as a research assistant for Professor J. Maria Glover. Before law school, Mr. Werner received bachelor’s and master’s degrees concurrently from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011.

  • A securities class action and threatened professional malpractice claim against a major accounting firm, both related to events precipitating bankruptcy of foreign public issuer
  • A securities class action against international fashion retailer concerning purported misrepresentations made in connection with its IPO
  •  A five-week trial and preceding multi-year litigation with over US$1 billion in controversy brought against British telecommunications firm by former investor
  • A multi-year SEC disclosure investigation involving numerous witness interviews, multiple rounds of document requests and presentations to SEC staff, and a favorable settlement
