Liliana Paparelli Ranger is an associate in Latham & Watkins' Century City office and a member of the Entertainment, Sports & Media Practice.

Ms. Ranger represents film and television studios, independent production companies, streaming platforms, financial institutions, investors, and other entertainment and media clients on complex entertainment-specific mergers and acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, equity and debt financing transactions, content production, financing and distribution arrangements, and the capitalization, formation, and launch of new media platforms.

In 2022, Ms. Ranger was named as one of Hollywood’s New Leaders by Variety, which recognizes Hollywood’s top new talent across representation, law, music, film, and TV.

Ms. Ranger’s experience includes representing:

  • A24 Films, in a wide range of production, distribution, joint venture, acquisition, and financing transactions, including its senior secured revolving credit facility and multi-project production facility
  • Warner Bros., in several acquisition and strategic joint venture transactions, including its lead investment in PictureStart and its acquisition of DramaFever
  • Content Partners, in multiple M&A transactions, including its acquisition of Revolution Studios
  • New media venture Westbrook Inc. founded by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, in a variety of acquisition, development, and financing transactions
  • Endeavor, in various M&A and strategic joint venture transactions
  • The Walt Disney Company, in certain financing and related strategic arrangements
  • Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, in a range of corporate financing and joint venture transactions, including its senior secured revolving credit facility
  • Brad Weston, in creation of MAKEREADY, a global content production company with backing from Entertainment One and worldwide distribution by Universal Pictures
  • Producer Doug Belgrad, in the formation and capitalization of 2.0 Entertainment, and its senior secured revolving credit facility and studio co-financing arrangements
