Layan Charara represents clients in government investigations and cross-border disputes.

Ms. Charara maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on immigration and human rights matters.

At the University of Michigan Law School, Ms. Charara served as editor in chief of the Michigan Journal of International Law. She was awarded the S. Anthony Benton Memorial Award for scholastic excellence in the field of international law.

Ms. Charara previously worked at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia in Beirut, Lebanon, and was a Bates Fellow at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland.
