David A. Fischer is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Litigation & Trial department.

Mr. Fischer received his JD from Columbia Law School, where he was the executive notes editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and the Arts and a Harlem Fiske Stone Scholar. Prior to joining Latham, he served as a judicial law clerk for Associate Judge Michael J. Garcia of the New York State Court of Appeals. 

Mr. Fischer is the author of “Dron’t Stop Me Now: Prioritizing Drone Journalism in Commercial Drone Regulation,” which was published in the Columbia Journal of Law and the Arts, and won third place in the UNC Center for Media Law and Policy’s 2019 James R. Cleary competition, a nationwide competition for student scholarly articles on media law and policy related topics.
