Celia Belmonte is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department.

Ms. Belmonte represents clients in complex commercial and securities litigation, as well as government and internal investigations.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Belmonte served as a law clerk for Judge Loretta A. Preska of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Belmonte graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as an articles and notes editor for the American Criminal Law Review, a Law Fellow for the Legal Research and Writing Program, and a Senior Writing Fellow. As a Senior Writing Fellow, Ms. Belmonte helped run the law school’s Writing Center. Ms. Belmonte also participated in the Community Justice Project Clinic.
