The UK is currently in the process of reviewing and updating its primary markets rules, with a view to ensuring that the UK remains one of the most attractive international destinations for equity listings. 

Key recommendations for change include modernising the listing rules, reducing the free float requirement, and reviewing the prospectus regime. There are also plans to add greater flexibility to the regime, to accommodate SPACs looking to list in the UK. 

Another key area of focus is the rise in importance of ESG and, in particular, climate-related disclosures by listed issuers.
