The EU Packaged Retail and Insurance-Based Investment Products (PRIIPs) Regulation introduced a requirement for PRIIP manufacturers to prepare and publish a Key Information Document (KID) in relation to any PRIIP made available to retail investors in the EEA. The PRIIPs Regulation has been onshored in the UK post-Brexit, but the regimes are likely to diverge.

The Regulation has proved controversial due to its broad scope, particularly its impact on the corporate bond market, and so the UK is seeking to clarify and refine the scope in the UK version.
