Five Latham & Watkins partners have been recognized for their superior client service in the 2011 “Client Service All-Star Team” named by BTI Consulting Group. Litigation partners James E. Brandt, Katherine A. Lauer, G. Andrew Lundberg, and Howard T. Rosenblatt, and corporate partner Michael E. Dillard, were cited in a survey of corporate counsel and executives at Fortune 1000 companies and large financial institutions.

An elite group of 318 lawyers were included in the annual list published by BTI Consulting Group, a Boston-based research, analysis and benchmarking consultancy. Latham & Watkins is among the few firms that placed multiple attorneys in the BTI Client Service All-Star Team survey, which emphasizes client focus, an understanding of the clients' business, outstanding results, delivering value, and demonstrating superior legal skills. According to BTI, the selected attorneys "have impressed corporate counsel with their keen understanding of business issues, thought-leading approach and total commitment to client needs.”

Brandt, the Office Managing Partner in the firm’s New York office, is an experienced trial attorney who practices regularly in state and federal courts He has handled cases in numerous jurisdictions, including, among others, New York, California, Delaware, Illinois and Florida. He has also handled numerous cross-border controversies and a wide variety of matters in alternative dispute resolution forums. He specializes in complex commercial litigation, as well as securities litigation and litigation in the bankruptcy courts.

Lauer, based in the firm’s San Diego office, focuses her practice on healthcare litigation, with emphasis on healthcare fraud defense. She has defended some of the country's largest and most high-profile civil and criminal government healthcare fraud investigations and qui tam cases. She is a Global Co-Chair of the firm’s Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice Group

Lundberg’s practice focuses in the areas of insurance coverage litigation and civil appeals. Based in Los Angeles, he represents policyholder clients around the world in major insurance coverage disputes in a wide variety of areas, including environmental and toxic tort liability, product liability, directors & officers liability, workers' compensation, employment practices liability, crime/fidelity coverage, business interruption and property loss, defamation/invasion of privacy, financial insurance and captive insurers. He is a Global Co-Chair of the firm’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group.

Rosenblatt practices European Union competition law from the firm’s office in Brussels, where he also serves as the Office Managing Partner. He represents some of the world’s largest companies in complex merger clearances, cartel investigations, alleged abuses of dominance and all other aspects of EU competition law.

Dillard, the Office Managing Partner in the firm’s Houston office, practices all aspects of corporate and securities law, with special emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings for upstream and midstream oil and gas companies. He has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures of both public and private energy companies, and he represents clients in connection with public and private offerings of equity and debt securities.
