Entertainment, Sports & Media Team Earns Multiple Dealmakers Recognitions

Variety and The Hollywood Reporter

11 December 2018

Latham transactional partners have been honored as leading entertainment industry dealmakers in two annual features published by the leading Hollywood trades, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.

In Variety’s Dealmakers Impact Report, a team of six partners – Joseph Calabrese, Nancy Bruington, Kenneth Deutsch, Robert Haymer, Rick Offsay, and Lisbeth Savill – were recognized for their roles in notable industry transactions during the past year in a published profile. Variety honors lawyers and company executives who are “behind–the-scenes power players [that] keep the wheels of Hollywood turning, the content flowing and the money coming in.”

Separately, The Hollywood Reporter included Robert Haymer among Hollywood’s Top 20 Dealmakers of 2018, which highlights “key negotiators behind the year’s most game-changing deals.” Haymer’s published profile called out innovative deals in which he advised entertainment and media companies such as Lionsgate, Skydance Media, and Sierra/Affinity in transformational transactions.

The honored partners are members of the Latham’s Entertainment, Sports & Media Practice, which provides sophisticated counsel to industry clients — including motion picture studios, production companies, sports teams and leagues, venues, events, marketers, broadcasters, and industry associations.
