Latham Named "Law Firm of the Year"

Law360 has selected Latham & Watkins as “Law Firm of the Year” for 2013 based on diverse strengths across practice areas and industry sectors. The firm secured nine "Practice Group of the Year" awards, the highest total among law firms, and has “managed to spread resources across a broad swath of practice areas without sacrificing quality,” according to Law360. In what the legal news service called “an impressive list given the increased competition in the legal industry these days,” Latham was recognized for having leading practices in the Law360 categories for: Appellate; Bankruptcy; Competition; Environment; Hospitality; M&A; Privacy; Project Finance; and Securities. In integrating these areas with other leading practices of the firm, Latham was recognized for delivering excellent client service in matters that are often complex and multi-jurisdictional, with Law360 emphasizing that "the firm’s success is based in large part on the willingness of attorneys to work across multiple practice areas."
