Latham & Watkins partner Ing Loong Yang was honored as Outstanding Practitioner of the Year at the 2018 Asialaw Asia-Pacific Dispute Resolution Awards — an annual program sponsored by the legal guides asialaw and Benchmark Litigation. The publications noted that the awards “honour the region’s leading firms and individuals for dispute resolution, and recognise their successes in moving the practice of dispute resolution forward in the Asia-Pacific region.”
Yang focuses his practice on international arbitration and complex commercial litigation in Asia, including cross-border disputes involving Greater China. Yang has represented clients in numerous international arbitrations under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, as well as in the Hong Kong courts. Yang also draws on his firsthand experience sitting as an arbitrator in proceedings seated in Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, Stockholm, and Indonesia.
Yang is among more than 70 lawyers who comprise Latham & Watkins’ Greater China Practice. The team advises Asian and international companies on all aspects of their transactions throughout the Asia-Pacific region, including in connection with disputes. China Law & Practice recently named Latham their Dispute Resolution Firm of the Year for influential work in China.
