Global Vice Chair of Latham’s Antitrust & Competition Practice, partner Belinda Lee has been named to the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s prestigious 2021 Women of Influence List. The annual honor roll recognizes women leaders who significantly impact their industries as well as their communities.

Lee was selected for an impressive series of impactful antitrust results achieved throughout her career, including notable recent successes for Starkist – in a widely-cited opinion that helped make new class action law in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals – and a series of innovation-saving wins for BMW. Lee was also honored for her significant contributions to the Bay Area and legal communities, which includes serving on the boards of Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Asian Law, the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Justice & Diversity Center, the NALP Foundation, the Western Center on Law & Poverty, the Constitutional Rights Foundation, and the California Heritage Museum.

In her published profile, Lee was asked about challenges facing women taking on leadership roles. She responded: “I think it’s the temptation to self-edit – don’t do that! And don’t be afraid to take up space, either!”

This is Latham’s second recognition in as many years on the Women of Influence list, with Bay Area partner Elizabeth Deeley being recognized last year.
